Cultural Excursions

It was a beautiful day in Belize for our cultural excursions.  We started the day with a ride on the Hokey Pokey Water Taxi to Placencia.  After getting fitted for fins and goggles, we took an hour long boat ride to Silk Water Caye to snorkel.  We spent several hours swimming with the fishes, turtles, rays, and other sea life on the barrier reef. 

The Garifuna drummers and dancers performed the music and dances of their culture.  We all had an opportunity to join in on he fun. 

Everyone is doing great.  The student posts begin later today, so stay tuned.  They are excited to share their experiences so far!
